on june 10th dave and i celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. i have been in florida now for a few weeks and dave flew in so we could celebrate together. this is the first time since our acutal wedding day that we have been able to celebrate on June the 10th. for the past 7 years we always had to celebrate before or after b/c of camp groups. gram and papa p offered to watch all three kids for us to have a romantic 24 hours with no kids. we got a hotel room at the Hyatt Pier 66 in ft lauderdale. we had reservations at a fancy restaurant and got all dressed up. we rode dads motorcycle and had a blast. walked on the beach and just had a good time talking without interuption. it was much needed and we loved every minute of it.

a fun but exhausting week
well this past week i was determined to do lots of fun things to keep the kids and i busy and hopefully wear them out, however, i think they wore me out long before i could wear them out. On top of the funt things we did each morning, we went swimming in a good friends pool each afternoon. so here is how our week went.....
MONDAY we went to The Girls Strawberry Patch in Delray. People told us about how great their produce was and how the kids and just run around and pick all kinds of strawberries. Because the weather had gotten so hot there were no strawberries left but the kids still had a good time. I think they each found one berry and we found some beans and tomatoes. This place also had donkeys, swans, and tons of birds. It was pretty cool that all that was right there in the big city. The kids had a great time and it was nice for me to just let them roam and not worry about them breaking something or doing something wrong.
TUESDAY we had some friends come over to Grams house. Brook and her son Benjamin and her mom Joan came over for the day. We had a great girlie lunch the kids all had a great time playing. Ben will be two really soon, Garret LOVED playing with him and talks about him all the time. The grandmas helped watch the kids so Brook and i could scrapbook. it was so fun to do something creative with a good friend.
WEDNESDAY we had another mother/daughter lunch with Leah and Corban and Mrs. Lopez. We had another great lunch and spent time catching up. Brenna and Corban are so close in age and so fun to watch play together.
THURSDAY we went to Wakadahatchie with our buds Suzi and John. It is a boardwalk about a mile long that goes over fresh water habitats. We saw lots of fish, turtles, bird and ducks, we even saw a bunny and an alligator. we went in the morning when it was still not to hot and the day was beautiful! the kids loved this too.
FRIDAY we went to Splash Adventure at Quite Water park. we got there right as the first session was opening and the guy running the park let us in for FREE! this was such a blessing and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was a good sized water playground with slides and steps, water shooting out everywhere. garret and kenzie had a BLAST running around together. kenzie was a great help for me that day. raelyn was a lot more timid and just wanted to play with me in the shallow water.
SATURDAY we met my friends Kristin and Steph and her baby Addison at the beach. Garret loved playing in the waves and sand, brenna enjoyed eating sand and raelyn was whiney AGAIN, but it was a good time. Kristin and Steph were my collage roomates and it is always good to see them. We enjoyed lunch together and the mommy had to go home and rest after all the "fun" we have had this week!
Although i am completely exhausted, we had a great time hanging out with friends and family this week.
