she is such a joy...

meet ada joy... born October 20th 2009. She is the brand new adopted daughter of one of my best friends here in Greeneville. Ever since the Koppins were first married, Brett and Carrie, had a tug on their hearts for adoption. They have a biological daughter named Mary Elizabeth who is 4 now and also very excited about adoption of a brother or sister.
Traveling this adoption road with them has been a blessing to many people. God showed his provision time after time. there were also many times of questioning, trials of faith and patience, but in the end this family has been given the best little gift in Ada Joy.
She truly is a JOY to this family and also to the families around her. This little lady is going to grow up knowing LOVE that is for sure. the love of MANY families and the love of her heavnly father.
the girls and i came over for a play day with mary elizabeth and ada and i just couldnt resist getting my camera out for an unofficial photo shoot.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

flying high

we played outside and enjoyed the AMAZING weather last night as we waited for daddy to get home from his trip to florida. i pushed brenna and garret on the tire swing for a long time. the longer she was on the higher she wanted to go! (just like her big brother)
after awhile garret got off and started pushing brenna himself. she loved every minute of flying high while her brother pushed.

i hope you all are enjoying these wonderful days. it is hard to believe that thanksgiving is right around the corner! and then christmas is not far behind. wow the time flies.

greeneville craft sale

this weekend 3 friends and i entered a craft show here in greeneville. today was the first day. we had a blast and even sold a few things. i think our booth turned out really cute. people seemed to be really impressed with everything but we didnt make a lot of big sales. oh well. we still had a great time and we have a whole nother day to go tomorrow. so here is what we looked like. our name was "Sew.Hip.Kids"
we had dresses, aprons, hair bows, head bands, paci clips, hooded towels, felt play food, boys tie shirts, burp cloths and diaper bag/luggage tags.

halloween fun

this picture isnt technically correct but it so speaks to how this past week has been a blur of halloween "fun". tuesday we carved pumpkins and went to garrets school for "halloween halls". the teachers and students decorate the halls and then the kids can come and trick or treat. it is a lot of fun.
here are the kids with their pumpkins
the girls were 80's rock stars

and garret was johnny apple seed.
thursday raelyn had her class halloween party. brenna and i joined her. here she is with her cutie pie little friends.
then on friday morning we did truck or treat with our MOPS group. this is always a ton a fun for the kids.
and then on friday night, us adults had some fun too. we had a party with some of our family friends and all the adults dressed up. dave and i were 80's rock stars too! we had a blast.
then to finish it all off we trick or treated a final time on saturday. some good friends invited up over to their neighborhood. i can say i am officially halloween out! hope you all had a good one.
