moms with cameras workshop

chattanooga workshop was today...

gosh, i almost have a feeling of relief after the workshop. it was so nice to be in a room with an amazing photographer and a bunch of other ladies who were just as clueless as i was. Amber Holrtiz (check out her website at holritzphotography.com) was a great teacher. we went over how to take our cameras off of the green auto mode. she tought us that we are smarter than our cameras and we can get such better pictures by adjusting and contolling a few settings.
we learned :
aperature
ISO
shutter speed
composition
she did a quick little shoot with her own kids
and then gave us a quick lesson on Adobe LightRoom, a program for editing your photos.
I took lots of notes. i hope i can remember and decifer them when i get home.
i know that amber and heather (richandheathersmith.com) will probably post pics soon too so you can check theirs out as well.
